Homer Investigation

What people say about small town America is true. These towns
are a great place to visit and full of extremely nice people. Our
next investigation took us to a private residence in the little town
of Homer, Louisiana. The home is a classic style two story house
located in the heart of Homer. We were contacted by Jackie who
was not scared of what was going on in her home, just curious as
to what might be happening. We were told they felt the spirits
were not harmful in any way, but actually a bit helpful and even
playful at times. Only one encounter had been negative in
nature. The home had been previously owned by a doctor who
built his operating room in the back yard which still stands to this
day. Patients had been known to stay in the home if they were
too ill to be transported. This quaint house had a bit of history, so
we were eager to investigate.

Activity reported ranged from items being moved or misplaced, to
an apparition being seen crossing the hall. Doors upstairs had
opened on their own, and footsteps could be heard through the
night going up the stairs and pacing the second floor. The most
recent paranormal experience was when a young woman had
been pushed down the stairs and then caught, both by entities
which could not be seen.

The investigation consisted of 5 investigators and the two
owners of the house. We ran 4 cameras on the DVR, and walked
with miniDV cameras, EMF meters, voice recorders, and cameras.
The house seemed quiet at first but as the night progressed a
few experiences had been reported by the investigators. The
second floor, which had attic space on both sides of the main
room, was the main area of interest through the night. EMF
spikes were very common in this attic space. After confirming
that there was no power to the attic area we investigated further.
High EMF readings were found moving throughout the attic
space. One minute the high reading would be in one place then
shortly would be found a few feet in another direction. One
investigator heard a distinct mans laugh come from right behind
him, the laugh came right after the question “are you the one who
pushes people down the stairs” was asked. The downstairs room
where the mother-in-law had been seen speaking to unknown
individuals had a heavy feeling at times. One investigator wished
to not spend time in that certain room.

Everything went smooth and we had no hiccups. After reviewing
the DVR and listening to hours of audio we were left with only one
photo. The photo shows a mist in the attic area where the
unexplainable EMF spike had been witnessed. Below you can

We had a few experiences and even a little bit of unexplainable
evidence. We want to thank the owners of the house, and wish
them well. As a matter of fact, the home is for sale. If you feel like
owning a haunted home in Homer Louisiana then maybe this
